Location: Broomall, PA Salary: $95,000.00 USD Annually - $125,000.00 USD Annually Description: Our client is currently seeking a Commercial Service Department Manager for a full-time position.

About the Role

We are a growing commercial HVAC and plumbing company seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Manager to lead and develop our commercial service operations. This is an opportunity to build and scale a high-performing service department focused on operational excellence, technician development, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial HVAC technical expertise with proven leadership experience and a passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop commercial HVAC service technicians.
  • Manage daily commercial HVAC service operations and field activities.
  • Coordinate with dispatch to ensure efficient technician scheduling and job assignments.
  • Monitor technician productivity, service quality, callbacks, estimates, and overall performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers.
  • Ensure accurate job documentation and workflow management within ServiceTitan.
  • Improve preventive maintenance programs and service delivery processes.
  • Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including revenue, gross margin, technician utilization, and customer satisfaction.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance management initiatives.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with company leadership to drive operational growth and scalability.
Qualifications
Required
  • Commercial HVAC service experience.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, or management experience within HVAC service operations.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for commercial HVAC systems.
  • Experience leading and developing field service technicians.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using field service management software.
  • Understanding of service department financial metrics, job costing, and operational performance.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred
  • ServiceTitan experience.
  • Experience managing commercial service departments.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and operational best practices.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and performance initiatives.
