Role: AEM Technical Architect (Migration)

Location : 100% Remote

Duration : Long-term, multi-year engagement                                                                    

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AEM Technical Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise digital experience solutions. This individual will assess client environments, translate business requirements into technical designs, and guide development teams through implementation, testing and deployment.

The successful candidate will combine strong AEM technical expertise with client consulting experience and the ability to clearly explain architectural recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and assess the client’s existing AEM environment, integrations and infrastructure.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution and application designs.
• Lead architecture decisions and explain options, tradeoffs, risks and recommendations.
• Provide technical direction to development teams and mentor engineers throughout delivery.
• Guide implementation, testing, deployment and production troubleshooting.
• Design integrations between AEM, complementary Adobe solutions and enterprise systems.
• Address performance, security, caching and operational requirements.
• Support presales discovery, solution scoping, estimates and sales-to-delivery handoffs.
• Contribute reusable technical guidance, documentation and delivery practices.
• Manage priorities across client engagements and internal initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with enterprise web platforms or content management technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise AEM solutions.
• 3+ years of direct client consulting experience.
• Strong Java and object-oriented development experience.
• Working knowledge of relevant AEM technologies, including Sling, OSGi, JCR, REST APIs, Dispatcher and CDNs.
• Experience designing integrations and troubleshooting web applications and infrastructure.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web servers, HTTP and SQL.
• Experience improving application performance and scalability.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
• Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• AEM as a Cloud Service implementation or migration experience.
• Experience with AEM Assets, enterprise DAM integrations or content workflows.
• Experience with Edge Delivery Services or complementary Adobe Experience Cloud products.
• Relevant Adobe certifications.
