Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. As a Staff Engineering Technician, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Function in a project engineering technician capacity, supporting engineering and design teams under general direction
Develop and modify technical deliverables based on foundational engineering principles and established design practices
Utilize digital design tools (CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and other project outputs
Prepare site drainage, grading, and utility plans using Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation
Provide technical guidance and direction to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables
Apply standards, systems, departmental guides, applicable codes, and company policies and procedures
Review project requirements and determine correct formats, content, and deliverable specifications
Apply company Quality Program, ensuring accuracy and contributing to continuous improvement and change management efforts
Review design inputs for consistency and compliance with project-specific codes and standards
Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities, estimates, and recordkeeping
Review deliverables prepared by others, as needed
Define work assignments and help maintain schedules
Coordinate with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information essential to design development
Program control systems or participate in plant startup activities related to specialized areas of expertise
Proactively seek and share knowledge of emerging technologies and processes
Support occasional field activities with a focus on internal client needs and an understanding of external client priorities
Qualifications:
Advanced Autodesk Civil 3D experience-specifically in proposed grading surfaces and plan development
Strong knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, and departmental procedures
Ability to apply basic engineering principles to moderately complex design concepts
Demonstrated ability to begin exercising judgment in interpreting inputs and making design decisions
Capable of managing difficult technical assignments within area of expertise and providing technical guidance to others
Experience in reviewing deliverables for accuracy, compliance, and quality
Strong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams
Diploma or certificate
Typically a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Ability to complete all pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include:

Motor vehicle record search
All compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design-related technology
The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
