Summary

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Copilot Engineer - Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking a Copilot Engineer to design, implement, secure, and operate Microsoft Copilot-based solutions and AI-powered agents across the enterprise. This role is responsible for delivering reliable, scalable, and compliant Copilot environments that enable intelligent automation, knowledge discovery, and productivity across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and integrated enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement controls for Copilot and Copilot Studio solutions to ensure they are secure, governed, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards
  • Design AI/ML solutions with enterprise scalability in mind, including modular architectures, reusable components, and standardized patterns for deployment across multiple business use cases
  • Establish monitoring frameworks to track model and solution performance, including accuracy, drift, latency, user adoption, failure rates, and business outcome metrics
  • Develop evaluation and testing approaches for Copilot and Copilot Studio use cases, including response quality, grounding effectiveness, consistency, prompt performance, and regression testing
  • Create and maintain scalable governance processes for AI solutions, including model inventories, versioning, approval checkpoints, documentation standards, and periodic review cycles
  • Implement controls for data access, grounding sources, prompt usage, connector integrations, and user permissions to ensure compliant and secure operation of Copilot Studio solutions
  • Partner with platform, security, and engineering teams to define guardrails for production AI deployments, including access controls, environment separation, change management, and auditability
  • Support the design of reusable prompt, orchestration, and agent patterns in Copilot Studio to improve consistency, maintainability, and scalability across enterprise implementations
  • Ensure solutions are designed for operational resilience, including fallback handling, exception management, retry strategies, and safe failure patterns for AI-driven workflows
  • Define standards for lifecycle management of Copilot and Copilot Studio assets, including development, testing, release management, version control, monitoring, and decommissioning
  • Collaborate with governance, risk, and compliance teams to ensure model and agent documentation supports enterprise approval requirements, policy alignment, and ongoing control evidence
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to model degradation, unsupported scaling, uncontrolled prompt changes, inconsistent outputs, and non-compliant use of enterprise data sources
  • Drive adoption of best practices for responsible AI, including explain ability, bias awareness, transparency, human oversight, and appropriate use of enterprise-approved data and tools
  • Establish reporting and dashboarding mechanisms for leadership and stakeholders to provide visibility into model health, usage trends, control effectiveness, and solution performance over time
  • Recommend architectural and operational improvements to enhance scalability, maintainability, compliance, and long-term supportability of enterprise AI solutions

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, including hands-on experience developing, deploying, and monitoring models in enterprise environments
  • Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling, including supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, regression, clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, experimentation, and model performance optimization
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or R, with hands-on experience using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, or similar tools for model development and data processing
  • Ability to write production-quality code, reusable components, and scalable data pipelines
  • Experience working with generative AI, large language models, AI assistants, or enterprise AI solutions, including Copilot and Copilot Studio use cases
  • Strong experience with data preparation, transformation, feature engineering, and analysis across large, complex enterprise datasets
  • Strong SQL skills, including complex querying, joins, aggregations, performance tuning, and working with enterprise data platforms such as data lakes, data warehouses, and APIs
  • Proven ability to integrate models into business applications and workflows using APIs, orchestration tools, and enterprise platforms
  • Experience with model documentation and model approval processes, including documenting model purpose, methodology, assumptions, data sources, feature definitions, validation results, limitations, monitoring approach, and governance controls
  • Experience supporting model risk, audit, compliance, and approval requirements in regulated or controlled environments
  • Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle management, including version control, reproducibility, model packaging, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and automation of data science workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automation practices for machine learning and AI solutions
  • Experience working with Azure-based AI and data services or comparable enterprise cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with responsible AI principles, model explainability, bias and fairness considerations, and secure data handling practices
