Overview

The Program Scheduler supports program execution by developing, maintaining, and analyzing integrated master schedules (IMS) in compliance with Technical Performance Requirements (TPRs), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and the Contract Statement of Work (CSOW). The role interfaces with program teams, customers, and subcontractors to monitor schedule performance and support reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed program schedules aligned with contractual requirements.
  • Build and manage schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • Define task logic, durations, dependencies, float, and critical path.
  • Perform schedule status updates and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate schedule activities with customers and subcontractors; integrate subcontractor schedules into the program IMS.
  • Track milestones, key events, and internal/external dependencies.
  • Produce schedule variance reports including root cause and mitigation forecasting.
  • Provide weekly schedule performance reports and monthly cost and schedule performance reports to program leadership.

Required Skills

  • 4-7 years of program or project scheduling experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • Working knowledge of Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS), Critical Path Method (CPM), and schedule performance metrics.
  • Experience supporting contract-driven programs with formal reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with both Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.

Required Education

No Education Requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting government or DoD programs.
  • Familiarity with EVMS principles.
  • Program management skill or certification.
  • Construction or Software scheduling background.
  • Industry experience as an experienced Program Scheduler, with the ability to translate words into activities.
