Business Systems Analyst- Healthcare
W2 Contract- $39 an hour
100% Onsite- Nashville, TN

Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role is responsible for defining customer needs in both technical and business contexts, ensuring proposed solutions align with customer objectives, and guiding the planning and prioritization of business support activities. The analyst translates business goals into effective system solutions and supports successful deployment and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document user requirements to meet business objectives

• Organize and present requirements in clear, logical documentation understood by both customers and Information Systems teams

• Guide technical teams and business stakeholders in the design and development of systems that support business solutions

• Act as a bridge between customer departments and technical resources to ensure alignment and clarity

• Facilitate the transfer of knowledge regarding business unit direction, goals, and priorities to supporting teams

• Support accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assistance with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities

• Provide input and recommendations on business direction related to system changes and enhancements

• Validate business needs for proposed solutions, business problems, and process improvements

• Assist in the development and documentation of training materials

• Mentor or train less experienced staff as needed

Required Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field OR

• Four (4) years of job-related work experience OR

• Two (2) years of job-related experience plus an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field

Required Skills and Abilities

• IT Business Analysis experience within a healthcare environment

• Direct experience supporting Healthcare, Medicare, and/or Medicaid systems in a Business Systems Analyst role

• Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Excel

• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Active certification from an accredited organization in one of the following:

  • CSPO

  • A-CSPO

  • PMI-ACP

  • CSP-PO

• Demonstrated understanding of the concepts, procedures, and operations of the supported business unit

• Basic knowledge of standard industry practices

• Strong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including all levels of management

• Ability to translate complex technical and business concepts clearly and concisely

• Solid understanding of how IT systems impact organizational operations and business processes

• Ability to review, interpret, and provide feedback on test plans, test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents

• SAFe® Scaled Agile Certification

• CBAP® certification and/or demonstrated continuous learning in the Business Analysis profession
