Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Server Field Engineers to provide on-site support for Dell server products at customer locations. This role involves troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, parts management, and installation in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting and issue triage with guidance from Dell Support
Execute Plans of Action (POA) provided by Dell Domain Engineers / L3 Support
Repair, reseat, swap, or replace server components
Perform server testing and validation, including diagnostics and log capture/upload
Upgrade firmware as required
Document all work in real time, including POA results, logs, service reports, and part details (PPID, old/new part numbers) via Dell case email
Manage parts locker operations, including inbound and outbound inventory
Manage spare parts during CW server deployments and coordinate parts returns to Dell
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform heavy lifting
Ability to handle the physical demands of server and data center work
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Technical certification or Associate Degree (preferred)
4 6 years of relevant hands-on experience in server hardware or related field

Willing to work shifts and participate in on-call rotations
Technical Ability
Hands-on experience with server hardware (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, full server builds)
Experience with server swaps, deployments, and full server replacements
Familiarity with Linux
Experience building PCs
Experience following structured Plans of Action (POA)
Exposure to water-cooled servers (preferred, not required)
Demonstrates continuous learning and stays current with technology
Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role
