Summary

Overview

The RADAR Cloud Engineer will serve as a key technical leader responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level cloud service delivery models-including Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Data as a Service (DaaS). This role drives the adoption and evolution of cloud solutions across the organization, delivering innovative, secure, and efficient capabilities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, able to guide teams and business partners in leveraging the full spectrum of cloud technologies while ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud strategies by providing expert guidance on complex cloud architectures and systems.
  • Drive efficiency improvements across multiple work streams, optimizing processes and cloud resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement cost optimization strategies for cloud resources to ensure maximum value from cloud investments.
  • Provide strategies for service failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analysis for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
  • Manage and enforce policies for cloud service usage and new technology adoption, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of a secure cloud environment.
  • Ensure appropriate availability and design for high uptime of cloud services in accordance with organizational requirements.
  • Independently design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software solutions.
  • Debug cloud stacks and manage all aspects of cloud infrastructure, ensuring operational reliability and resilience.
  • Implement and maintain a zero-trust architecture within cloud environments, ensuring robust security posture.
  • Analyze, lead, and execute the development and implementation of cloud applications, including the migration of existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelors degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver large-scale cloud migration and optimization projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cloud governance policies and security frameworks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles and experience with cloud-native security tools
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

  • Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any one time.
  • Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming in nature.
  • Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

Pay Range

USD $155,000.00 - USD $161,138.00 /Yr.
