Linux Admin (Nearshore Mexico)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a clilent in Monterrey, TX that is seeking a Linux Administrator.

Summary:
The Level 2 Linux Server Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and administration of Linux-based server environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security. This role provides advanced technical support, resolves escalated infrastructure issues, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to deliver effective solutions. Key responsibilities include server monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, system optimization, and ensuring adherence to established IT policies, standards, and best practices. The administrator will also assist with implementing system improvements, maintaining operational stability, and supporting ongoing infrastructure initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 2 to 4 years of experience administering and supporting Linux server environments
* Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES)
* Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and familiarity with automation or scripting languages such as Python or Perl
* Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and load balancing concepts
* Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, including AWS and Azure
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities, organize workload effectively, and support multiple initiatives simultaneously

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
