Applications Engineer - Building Automation (BAS/DDC)
Dallas, Texas | Full-Time

Summary: A well-established and rapidly growing building automation solutions provider is seeking an Applications Engineer to support customers, contractors, and internal teams with technical expertise across BAS/DDC systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide technical application support for BAS/DDC systems, including product selection and system design guidance
• Develop quotes, estimates, and material takeoffs from plans/specs
• Support sales teams with technical presentations and solution recommendations
• Program and configure BAS controllers (including Niagara-based systems)
• Assist with startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting for new and existing systems
• Serve as a go-to technical resource for customers and internal teams
• Diagnose system issues and recommend improvements or optimizations
• Build custom logic and modules within Niagara N4 environments
• Deliver training and technical guidance on products and systems
• Occasionally visit job sites to evaluate systems and support customers in the field

What They're Looking For

• Strong experience with Building Automation / HVAC Controls (BAS/DDC)
• Hands-on knowledge of platforms like Niagara (N4), Johnson Controls FX, Distech, Honeywell, KMC, or similar
• Experience with multi-vendor systems and open protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
• Ability to support both technical sales and engineering functions
• Familiarity with networking concepts related to BAS systems
• Experience with programming, troubleshooting, and system configuration
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and/or architectural drawings

• Niagara N4 Certification (or ability to obtain)
