Role Descriptions: 1. Strong concepts on fundamentals of Chromatography (Gas, Liquid and components in a chromatography system e.g. mobile phase, stationary phase, solvent, solute, sample, detector, column etc.) 2. Enterprise Empower system architecture encompassing different geographies, using RDS server and centralized database model 3. Understanding of application deployment in AWS Cloud infrastructure, EC2, AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery Platform, AWS Greengrass, AWS S3. 4. Empower3 configuration and administration a. User Management (LDAP, User types, User roles) b. Empower project management (Create, Back-up, restore projects, Clone, View Metadata, Raw data, Move Project Data, Lock, Unlock) c. System/Node management (Add instrument components, use of DHCP, Serial Ports, USB etc., Access, DAC release, DAC Build, add new chromatographic system etc.)
d. Audit Trail (Effective use to filter out events and use that for troubleshooting complex issues, generating reports etc.) e. Escalation to application vendor with respect to issues/requirements that cannot be handled through immediate investigation f. Capability of interpretation of Empower Message Center 5. Back-up/Restore Project data and audit trails 6. Custom Field and Report Method development 7. Root Cause Analysis covering all aspects of Lab informatics and Empower 8. Waters ICS/ICF installation; WICF support for Agilent; and third-party vendor ICFs 9. Complete knowledge on interfaces like Ethernet, COM, Serial, e-SATIN and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues. Knowledge of Networks (LAN/WAN), Servers and thin clients 10. Principles of operation of modern chromatographs and associated detectors, calibration, firmware installation and controlling those through Empower (focus on Agilent (1200 series) 1260, 1290, Waters UPLC, Beckman Coulter using e-SATIN, Shimadzu instrument configurations etc.) 11. Understanding of LIMs-Empower interfaces and related master data 12. Complete knowledge on JIRA, XRay and GXP validation
Good-to-Have 1. Exposure to LIMS and SDMS are desirable 2. Proven ability to technically lead a team of 5-6 consultants 3. Scientific Data Migration Knowledge is desirable 4. Knowledge of PL/SQL is desirable
SN Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role
1 Understand architecture of client's Empower Enterprise system setup and their impact on the overall functioning of the systems
2 Complete ownership of Empower upgrades involving upgrade to higher versions, legacy version decommissioning, DAC and system configurations, User management etc.
3 Development and validation of custom fields and report methods within Empower CDS
4 Understanding of Empower LIMs (Labware, LabVantage) interface and SSQT tool
5 Provide technical infrastructure planning and implementation service
6 Provide technical solution scoping and proposal development
7 Overall understanding of architecture of an analytical laboratory, the application process flow, and the overall interdependence across applications
