Duration: 18 months, with strong likelihood of extension and potential conversion
About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join the Enterprise Function Technology team. This role focuses on building and evolving an enterprise AI platform that enables AI adoption and accelerates delivery of AI-powered applications across the organization.

The team operates as a horizontal enablement function, partnering with application teams to rapidly design, build, and deploy tailored AI solutions at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead complex, enterprise-wide software engineering initiatives with broad business impact
  • Design, develop, test, debug, and document scalable, full-stack applications
  • Review and analyze large-scale, multi-faceted technical challenges, including those involving unprecedented or ambiguous factors
  • Contribute to and define companywide engineering standards and best practices
  • Make architectural and technical decisions using industry best practices and emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with senior technical leaders, client teams, and external partners to resolve complex technical issues
  • Mentor engineers, lead projects or initiatives, and support team growth
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements
AI Platform Focus Areas
  • Enterprise AI platform and reusable AI components
  • Skills and tools workbench built on top of the AI platform
  • Agentic architectures
  • LangGraph implementations
  • Multi-agent orchestration patterns
Level Expectations
  • SE3: Operates with guidance, coaching, and structured direction
  • SE4: Leads initiatives independently, makes technical decisions, and mentors other engineers
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent through work, education, training, or military experience)
  • 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring
  • 4+ years of experience with React
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • 4+ years of experience with Angular
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience with LangGraph
  • 1+ year of experience building or working with multi-agent orchestration systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with tools such as Kafka, S3, Dremio, Vault, or EPLX
  • 2+ years of experience with PySpark
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile development environments
  • 2+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
  • 2+ years of experience developing or deploying AI-powered solutions, such as chatbots, LLM-based automation, or agentic workflows
  • Understanding of AI risk management, observability, and stakeholder communication
  • 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Job Expectations
  • Ability to work on-site at the Charlotte, NC location
  • Relocation assistance is not available
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Flexibility to work off-hours or weekends as business needs require
