responsibilities:


As a Drone Operations Specialist, you'll play a critical role in keeping daily flight operations running safely and efficiently:


  • Prepare, launch, and recover delivery drones
  • Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections on aircraft and equipment
  • Conduct daily operational checks and maintenance per UAS guidelines
  • Troubleshoot and replace ground equipment ("nests") as needed
  • Partner closely with the Pilot-in-Command to ensure compliant flight operations
  • Participate in team briefings and maintain clear communication throughout shifts

Schedule & Details
  • Up to 40 hours/week (varied schedules based on site):
    • 5x8s OR rotating 12-hour shifts (12/12/12/4)
  • Occasional overtime (paid at 1.5x for hourly employees)
  • Contract role with strong potential for extension (1+ year)

  • Must be available to attend paid training in Dallas, TX (week of 5/11)




qualifications:

FAA Part 107 Certification (required)


Valid driver's license + active auto insurance


Ability to pass background check (BGV) and motor vehicle record (MVR)


This is a field-based, active role. You should be comfortable with:


Lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs


Moving equipment (up to 200 lbs via cart)


Being on your feet all day in outdoor conditions


Working in varying weather (23F - 110F, light rain, wind)


Maintaining strong situational awareness and focus
