The Opportunity:
CACI - Advanced Communications is seeking Software Test Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 who are passionate about working closely with our team to solve difficult mission-critical challenges. In this important role, you will be working on TestExec -our Automated Testing Framework to automate data collection, analysis, and test procedures. This position is fully on-site.

Responsibilities:
  • Design tests for ground and/or space communication systems both individually and within a group environment
  • Work with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, etc.
  • Conduct automated and manual testing of applications controlling integrated hardware and peripheral equipment while supporting/enhancing existing software products as necessary
  • Automate test procedures using python scripting
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to implement tests and validate test results
  • Support Test Planning by mapping requirements to Test Procedures for Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Use your engineering skills to analyze, design, and implement automated scripts within complex systems

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Currently pursuing a STEM degree
  • 1+ semester of experience with Object Oriented development
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
  • 0-1+ years of experience in a lab environment
  • Experience with the Linux Operating System
  • Experience with version control tools, such as GitLab
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired:
  • 1+ years of experience Python Development
  • Experience with the use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, and digital multi-meters is a plus
  • Experience with python numpy and matplotlib libraries for data analysis
