Description

SAIC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Middleware Administrator to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have of hands-on experience in middleware technologies, system integrations, and application support. This individual will play a key role in managing, monitoring, and maintaining middleware platforms that support the organization's enterprise applications.

This position will be fully remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain middleware technologies (e.g., , WebSphere, JBoss, Control-M, Infosphere, GlobalScape).
  • Manage application deployments and troubleshoot middleware-related issues.
  • Monitor, optimize, and tune middleware environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Perform proactive system monitoring and log analysis to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development, database, network, and DevOps teams to support system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage middleware instances following organizational policies and standards.
  • Collaborate on configuration changes to ensure alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Respond to incidents related to middleware and application performance, including root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Create reports on middleware performance, uptime, and operational activities.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of related experience field, additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years of experience in middleware administration or related IT infrastructure roles.
  • 2 years direct experience supporting Infosphere.
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms such as WebSphere, JBoss, Control-M, Infosphere, GlobalScape.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., firewalls, load balancing, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, or similar).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust


Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in middleware technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related middleware services.
