Randstad Digital is seeking a 100% remote Digital Asset Management (DAM) Specialist on behalf of our enterprise client based in Washington, DC. In this role, you will serve as the primary administrator, steward, and subject matter expert for the client's Canto DAM platform and central Brand Hub. You will lead the day-to-day administration of a 50,000+ asset library, driving file taxonomy, asset lifecycle management, and metadata standardization while configuring Canto portals to manage access for internal teams and regional state partners. Working closely with cross-functional creative, brand, and partner teams, you will ensure Canto functions as the enterprise single source of truth for all digital, marketing, and campaign assets.

responsibilities:
Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Canto DAM platform and integrated Brand Hub, managing global settings, user permissions, and access controls.
Architect, maintain, and optimize asset taxonomy, metadata standards, tagging structures, and file-naming conventions to maximize searchability.
Manage multi-portal environments, collections, and access workflows-with a strong focus on secure external access management for state partners and agency collaborators.
Oversee asset lifecycle management, including file intake, versioning, quality control, metadata enforcement, digital rights management (DRM), and archiving.
Populate and maintain the Brand Hub with current brand guidelines, creative templates, campaign toolkits, logos, video, and photography assets.
Lead ongoing audit and cleanup initiatives to eliminate redundant, outdated, or improperly tagged files across legacy environments.
Develop self-service documentation, onboarding materials, and training resources to drive platform adoption across the organization.
Coordinate directly with vendor technical support and creative teams to support system health and platform roadmap enhancements.
qualifications:
3+ years of dedicated experience administering enterprise-scale Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems, with hands-on expertise in Canto required.
Proven experience building and managing Canto portals, collections, user groups, and external partner permissions.
Deep knowledge of taxonomy development, metadata strategies, controlled vocabularies, and search optimization in a creative or brand environment.
Practical understanding of digital rights, asset licensing, and file format standards across photography, video, and design collateral.
Demonstrated ability to build documentation, conduct user training, and lead platform adoption initiatives.
Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills to support distributed, cross-functional teams.
Experience supporting creative ecosystem tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, or Adobe Experience Manager) is a plus.
