Project Engineer – Data Center Construction (MEP Focus)

Location: Port Washington, WI
Onsite: 100% onsite required
Contract: 6–12-month contract with expectation to extend, or convert to full-time.
Pay: $55–$75/hour (W2) + Per Diem

• Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and drawings, ensuring alignment with schedule and construction sequencing
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and controls trade partners to resolve field issues and clashes
• Support long-lead equipment tracking (switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, etc.)
• Assist with schedule awareness, look-aheads, and milestone tracking in coordination with the project team
• Support QA/QC, commissioning readiness, and owner turnover documentation
• Maintain accurate project documentation using tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office
• Work closely with Construction Managers, PMs, and Superintendents onsite

• 3+ years of experience as a Project Engineer on commercial, industrial, or mission-critical projects
• Strong exposure to MEP systems (electrical and mechanical coordination is critical)
• Experience supporting data center, hospital, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Comfortable working onsite full-time in an active construction environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Data center or mission-critical construction experience
• Familiarity with redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N)
• Exposure to commissioning and turnover processes
