Job Role: Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer

Location: (Hybrid- Toronto Downtown) - 2 days in office

Exp. Start date: 1st week of July

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer to design, develop, and implement scalable solutions within the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Guidewire configuration, integration, and development, along with a solid understanding of insurance domain processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  1. Configure and customize Guidewire ClaimCenter applications
  2. Develop business rules, workflows, and user interfaces
  3. Implement integrations with external systems using Guidewire APIs, web services, and messaging frameworks

Technical Leadership

  1. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
  2. Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices

Collaboration

  1. Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  2. Support production deployments and troubleshoot issues as needed

Maintenance & Optimization

  1. Enhance existing ClaimCenter implementations for performance, scalability, and reliability
  2. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements


Required Skills & Experience

Core Expertise

  1. 6–9 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years in Guidewire ClaimCenter development
  2. Strong proficiency in Guidewire Studio, Gosu programming language, XML, and Java
  3. Hands-on experience with ClaimCenter configuration, rules engine, and data model

 

Integration Skills

  1. Experience with SOAP and REST web services
  2. Strong knowledge of messaging, batch processes, and system integrations

 

Domain Knowledge

  1. Solid understanding of insurance domain processes, especially Claims management

 

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience with middleware tools such as MuleSoft, Kafka, or similar integration platforms
  2. Exposure to Guidewire Cloud implementations
  3. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  4. Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ClaimCenter applications
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
