Job Description
The SAP Ariba Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Ariba Source-to-Pay (S2P) solutions. The role involves working with procurement, finance, and business teams to design efficient procurement processes, ensure system integration with SAP ERP (S/4HANA or ECC), and support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) operations.
The consultant ensures smooth supplier collaboration, procurement automation, and compliance with organizational procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SAP Ariba Implementation & Support
- Implement and support SAP Ariba modules such as:
- Ariba Buying & Invoicing (P2P)
- Ariba Sourcing
- Ariba Contracts
- Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)
- Handle end-to-end procurement workflows (Requisition Purchase Order Invoice Payment)
- Provide L2/L3 production support and issue resolution
2. Business Requirement Analysis
- Gather and analyze business requirements from procurement and finance teams
- Translate requirements into SAP Ariba functional design
- Conduct gap analysis between business needs and system capabilities
3. Configuration & Workflow Design
- Configure Ariba modules including:
- Approval workflows
- Catalog management
- Procurement rules and tolerances
- Supplier onboarding processes
- Customize Ariba Guided Buying and sourcing templates
4. Integration (SAP ERP / S/4HANA)
- Integrate SAP Ariba with backend systems using:
- SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG)
- SAP PI/PO or SAP CPI
- APIs / Middleware tools
- Handle data synchronization for:
- Purchase orders
- Invoices
- Supplier data
- Troubleshoot integration failures and interface errors
5. Supplier Management
- Manage supplier onboarding and validation through Ariba SLP
- Maintain supplier master data quality
- Ensure compliance and risk checks for vendors
6. Testing & Deployment
- Prepare and execute:
- Unit Testing (UT)
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support go-live activities and hypercare support
7. Support & Maintenance
- Provide ongoing production support
- Resolve Ariba Network issues and transaction failures
- Monitor system performance and procurement workflows
8. Documentation & Training
- Prepare functional design documents (FDD)
- Create user manuals and training guides
- Conduct end-user training sessions
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SAP Ariba modules (P2P, Sourcing, SLP, Contracts)
- Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA integration
- Knowledge of SAP CIG / CPI integration
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Preferred Skills
- SAP MM (Materials Management) knowledge
- Experience in Ariba Guided Buying / Guided Sourcing
- Exposure to APIs, XML, or middleware tools
- Procurement domain experience
- SAP Ariba certifications (nice to have)
