Role: AI Test Automation Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Note: candidates meet the residency requirements (Last 5 years in the US with no more than 6 months out of the country).
Background and Introduction
The assigned resource will be responsible for developing the AI program focused on automating requirements and test case preparation, utilizing Visual Studio Code, Python, Copilot AI, and other tools provided by the postal service.
Description:
· Collaborate with Requirements and Test Automation teams to identify high-impact use cases for generative AI, machine learning, and automation.
· Train and mentor assigned resources on effective AI utilization, including:
o Using AI to develop technical requirements from business user stories.
o Integrating AI with the current test automation framework to create test scripts.
· Design and implement prototypes and pilot AI-enabled solutions for Requirements and Test Automation.
· Develop guidance, best practices, and toolkits to support teams in integrating AI into daily workflows.
· Propose AI-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and providing actionable recommendations.
· Document process changes using agreed standards, methods, and tools to maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.
· Design and implement automated solutions leveraging Visual Studio, Python, and generative AI.
· Integrate automation solutions with existing software systems and databases.
· Provide technical oversight and review work completed by other team members.
· Demonstrate professionalism, deliver quality service, and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
· Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
List of tasks to be performed:
• Demonstrated expertise in developing solutions using Visual Studio Code, Python, and other programming languages to harness generative AI and large language models (LLMs).
• Develop AI tool/program to create technical requirements by leveraging current and past business user stories.
• Integrate the existing python test automation framework with AI solutions.
• Ensure all AI scripts and programs are fully executable on postal laptops.
• Train designated team members to execute and maintain AI scripts and programs.
• Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation.
• Candidates invited for interviews will be required to present working samples.
• In-person interviews are preferred.
• Primary work location: Headquarters in Washington, D.C., with telework options available.
Required Experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of specialized AI development experience in technology or software development using Visual Studio Code, Python, Selenium, Databricks, Co-pilot etc.
