Summary

Title: BIM Specialist


Duration: 6 month contract that will be converted to FTE


ONSITE 5 d/a week: Austin, TX 78725


Pay Rate: $60-74


Day-to-Day Responsibilities



  • As a BIM Specialist, you will own the management and optimization of the BIM environment across large-scale, fast-paced infrastructure projects.

  • You ll work cross-functionally with engineering, design, project controls, commissioning, and facilities teams to ensure models are accurate, data-rich, and aligned with downstream operational needs.

  • On a daily basis, you will coordinate multi-discipline federated models (often spanning 8 10+ teams across regions and time zones), establish standards for digital delivery, and support projects from early planning through construction, commissioning, and handoff.

  • You will drive the development and maintenance of scalable BIM workflows, ensuring seamless integration with project controls, cost tracking, and facilities management systems.

  • This includes preparing as-built models for operational use, embedding structured data for lifecycle management, and enabling actionable insights from model data.

  • Additionally, you ll introduce and implement advanced BIM technologies, develop custom parametric Revit content, and contribute to the evolution of internal BIM standards and tools.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent hands-on experience)

  • 3 6+ years of experience supporting BIM/VDC efforts on large, complex infrastructure or high-tech facilities (e.g., semiconductor, battery, manufacturing, or similar environments)

  • Strong expertise in Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture tools

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, IFC workflows, and BIM data interoperability standards

  • Experience managing large, federated BIM models across multiple disciplines and distributed teams

  • Familiarity with integrating BIM into project controls, cost tracking, and quantity takeoffs (WBS alignment preferred)

  • Experience supporting facilities management teams with BIM for operations and lifecycle use

  • Exposure to coding or visual programming (e.g., Python, C#, Dynamo) and database integrations is preferred

  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across technical teams
