Software Engineer

This role focuses on building innovative, privacy- and security-first solutions to complex Identity Resolution challenges by developing scalable platforms, customizable matching and graph-access frameworks deployable globally. It involves close collaboration with internal teams and external partners and fostering a culture of integrity, empowerment, and teamwork. Engineers will treat infrastructure as code using modern DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform), and deliver robust testing, automation, and production-grade systems that advance the Identity Resolution landscape.

You will:

• Write well-structured code and leverage knowledge of system operations in *nix.
• Produce clean, concise technical design specifications.
• Drive improvement in automation, procedures, documentation, and platform architecture.
• Demonstrate ability to find and resolve problems, diagnose root causes, and use experience to improve production systems.
• Implement automation to increase the efficiency, scalability, and quality of platform operations and participate in team's on call rotation.
• Improve testing methodology, write reusable testing tools, and solve broad problem areas in testing.
• Design medium complexity features and create/document clean interactions between systems, designing for testability.
• Exemplify deep understanding of technologies used, maintain awareness of the technology landscape, and provide feedback on product specs/design.
• Collaborate across disciplines, resolve conflicts, and be aware of future dependencies/roadblocks.
• Share information proactively, provide feedback on design reviews, and actively promote great team morale.

About you:

• 2+ years of hands-on development experience
• Have strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to deliver on projects.
• Have a passion for working on scalable services, APIs, and infrastructures.
• Have a product mindset and enjoy solving complex business problems with technology.
• Have strong written and spoken communication, with the ability to effectively change communication style based on the audience (fellow engineers, marketing, management, product, engineering, data scientists). Ability to explain complex technical topics at appropriate levels of detail for each audience.
• Have prior hands-on experience with public cloud technology.
• Have a strong ability to break down complex problems to their essential components and design and implement elegant solutions for them.
• Have experience with designing and implementing interfaces and infrastructure for large volume services and APIs.
• Are comfortable evaluating and adapting to the latest tools and industry best practices.
• Are proficient in common programming languages such as Java, Python, Kotlin, Go.
• Have a startup personality and enjoy working as part of a team: smart, ethical, friendly, hard-working, and productive.

Good to Have:

• Experience working with big data technologies (Spark, Airflow, Dataflow, BigQuery, etc).
• Prior experience with Identity Resolution, Data Science, or Machine Learning.
• Experience with Terraform

The approximate annual base compensation range is $99,500 to $155,000. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geography, as well as internal equity among our team.
