Job Summary The Senior SAP MM Consultant will lead the full lifecycle of S/4HANA Plant Maintenance implementations. This role requires deep functional expertise, strong understanding of Plant Maintenance processes , and the ability to architect integrated solutions that leverage both S/4HANA and Ariba capabilities.
Essential Duties- Lead full lifecycle S/4HANA Plant Maintenance (PM) implementations, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Conduct workshops with maintenance, reliability, engineering, and operations teams to capture business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Configure and optimize core SAP PM components:
Equipment master, functional locations, and BOMs
Preventive & predictive maintenance
Breakdown & corrective maintenance
Maintenance notifications & work orders
Task lists, maintenance plans, and scheduling
Measurement points & counters
Refurbishment and spare parts planning - Support manufacturing-specific maintenance scenarios:
Multi-plant maintenance operations
Shop-floor integration
Calibration processes
Shutdown/turnaround planning - Integrate PM with cross-functional modules:
MM (spare parts procurement)
PP (production planning & downtime)
QM (inspection & calibration)
FI/CO (costing & settlement)
WM (warehouse operations) - Prepare functional specs for RICEFW objects and collaborate with ABAP and integration teams.
- Lead testing cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration (equipment, locations, task lists, maintenance plans), cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ensure alignment with SAP Activate methodology and S/4HANA best practices.
- Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business users.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's Degree required or
- Associate's Degree with 20+ years of experience required
- 12+ years of hands-on SAP PM experience required
- 2-3 full-cycle S/4HANA PM implementations, ideally in manufacturing required
- Strong understanding of: Preventive & corrective maintenance, Asset lifecycle management, Maintenance planning & scheduling, Spare parts management, Integration with production and supply chain
- Expertise in: S/4HANA Fiori apps for maintenance, Maintenance planning & scheduling tools, Equipment hierarchy and asset structures, Breakdown analysis and reporting, IDocs/EDI (where applicable)
- Experience working in multi-plant, manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications Preferred- Experience with Predictive Maintenance & Service (PdMS) or Asset Intelligence Network (AIN) preferred
- Exposure to EAM mobility solutions (SAP Asset Manager, Work Manager) preferred
- SAP PM or S/4HANA certification preferred
- Experience with global template design and rollouts preferred
- Experience with multi plant operations preferred
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000
