Experience managing Workday or ServiceNow Projects is a must, Project Management skill set is the critical piece, must have a firm grasp on how to run a project from beginning to end, including timelines, stakeholder engagement, etc. and Being experienced in technology projects is a requirement as well

Job Summary
Requires a moderate degree of PM knowledge, experience, skill, and expertise. Additional skills needed: communication, problem solving, managing for results, managing conflict, creativity, and critical thinking. Operates in coordination with and takes direction from both the ePMO Lead/Project Lead to ensure:

All project activities/outputs align with strategic objectives, deliverables, schedules, business case, and expectations set with Sponsors and UPS senior leadership
Support a combination of simple projects while facilitating/guiding team to adhere to the PM discipline

This position will drive setting the team’s cadence for planning, updates, and status reviews with Sponsors. He/she supports the success of the project by applying UPS PM principles, guidelines, and standards. Travel may be required as needed.

Job Duties
Assists Project Lead to Ensure Project Output Meets Program Expectations (~15% of time)
Facilitates all Project Planning & Execution of PM Activities (~25% of time)
Applies PM Processes/Tools Appropriate for Projects (~50% of time)
Identifies/Manages Interdependencies with other Projects/Initiatives (~10% of time)

Other Duties
Manages project scope, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building, and deployment of projects from beginning to end
Creates/manages PM artifacts while educating the team on their creation/proper use throughout the project such as:
Project Charter
Project Plan
RACI
Risk/Issue identification & mitigation
Status report development/updates appropriate PM artifacts, as needed
Reviews deliverables and ensures quality
Provides PM methodology/tools to ensure proper governance, oversight, strategic alignment, and project success
Facilitates initiation/planning of project scope (i.e., objectives, resources, milestones, risks, communications, etc.)
Reviews funding, cost plans, and actual expenses to verify projects are in line with funding parameters with Project Lead
Proficient in PM discipline with emphasis on effective use of PM soft skills essential to his/her success
Solicits/gathers information via interviews with process owners to understand the "as-is" and "to-be" processes
Identifies/communicates to the Project Lead skill gaps and recommends improvement opportunities
Provides Project Lead with thorough responses to problem resolution
Identifies business areas/stakeholders impacted by issues
Identifies root causes to ensure problems do not reoccur

Able to:
Communicate processes to customers trained on process changes/enhancements
Develop/monitor process metrics to gauge health of a project and identify process improvement opportunities
Observe a process and gather feedback/concerns from others for process improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications
Experience applying Stakeholder/Communication Management principles including governing bodies, Owners, Sponsors, key senior stakeholders, Project Lead, team, SMEs
Able to plan weeks in advance to plan efforts and manage multiple projects
Able to work full time (~40 hours per week with potential to work overtime if necessary); must be flexible to work occasional weekends, holidays, and possible overnight stays depending on the assignment, as needed
Experience/expertise with Commercial PM Software (i.e., MS Project/Office, etc.) and the ability to learn UPS Projects Website and other tools
Experience with web-based remote meeting applications (i.e., Skype, Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
Willing to travel by plane or driving personal vehicle or rental car (mileage, airfare, rental car will be reimbursed)

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (or international comparable degree)
3 years of PM experience
6 years as a project team member
Experience using MS Office including MS Project/SharePoint
Willing to travel by plane or drive personal vehicle/rental car

Preferred Qualifications
PM Certifications: PMI PMP, Agile, LEAN Certified/Six Sigma, etc.
