Summary

Job Title: Sr. Power BI Data Analyst

Location: Richmond, VA (Remote)- must be able to pick up equipment IN PERSON if selected

Position Type: Contract

Interview Mode: Web cam

Pls note: This is a time sensitive role that has a tight timeline. They can choose to work full time (or part-time, 20 hrs/week) until the work is completed. If they work 40 hrs /week then the work could finish sooner and the engagement may end sooner. At this time it is slated to go to 6/30/26 (at the latest)

*Even though this is also a DA role it has different responsibilities than Req# 798838 - pls read carefully before submitting your candidates. Your candidate could potentially be able to do both roles - if so get them submitted to both

Key Tasks

Conduct requirements sessions with HIM, data governance, and operations
Analyze the structure and quality of the duplicate‑encounter extract
Build a Power BI data model capable of handling large datasets
Develop visualizations for duplicate patterns, encounter groupings, frequency, and severity indicators
Create filters for facility, date ranges, encounter type, and risk level
Implement automated refresh and validation logic
Iterate with stakeholders to refine insights and usability

Deliverables

Requirements document and dashboard wireframes
Power BI data model and transformation logic
Duplicate Encounter Identification dashboard
Data dictionary and process documentation
Knowledge‑transfer session with internal staff

Milestones

Week 1-3: Requirements gathering & data review
Week 4-8: Data modeling & initial dashboard build
Week 9-10: Stakeholder review & refinement
Week 11-12: Final dashboard delivery & documentation
