Job Summary
Responsible for designing and building high-quality software solutions that support business operations at scale. Contributes to the development and maintenance of infrastructure that enables high-volume, reliable system interactions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability
- Design, guide, mentor, and contribute to system architecture and technical design
- Develop and maintain public-facing APIs
- Build robust, extensible solutions based on feature requirements
- Work with large-scale data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Hadoop, Spark)
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to develop value-added features
- Partner with database teams to design and support ETL pipelines and data warehousing systems
- Work with Operations teams to automate processes and improve service reliability
- Monitor production systems and platform health
- Build tools and processes supporting analytics, monitoring, machine learning, and data warehousing platforms
- Define and implement networking, backup, and deployment strategies across environments
- Provision, configure, maintain, back up, and monitor on-premises and cloud-based server resources
- Define and implement deployment strategies for client-facing systems and internal tools
- Continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and observability systems
Qualifications
- Experience in software and systems development
- Strong software development background with experience building scalable systems
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or similar
- Strong Linux administration experience
- Experience working with cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean)
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices
- Experience with automation and configuration tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) and/or orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of computer networking concepts
- Experience administering systems at production scale
