OverviewD451 VIRGINIA Waterfront Engineering is looking for electrical engineers to join our power distribution team. Responsibility includes developing solutions to operational and test issues regarding power distribution equipment and propulsion plant control equipment. In addition to technical knowledge of circuit breakers, switchboards, and electronic and analog control systems, the job requires the ability to develop troubleshooting strategies and write procedures for shipyard execution. The job also requires deck-plate support in a shipyard environment.
The successful candidate must communicate effectively and work within a high performing, multi-disciplinary team. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a personal desire to learn, grow, and excel within the organization.
The occasional need for off-shift overtime and watchbill support is required with this position.

QualificationsRequired: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
- 1-5 of post-graduate engineering experience
Preferred: - Education Concentration or prior experience in Power Distribution or Power Electronics
- Experience with military equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems or equipment
- Experience with Navy electrical systems

- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be willing and able to work in both an office environment and a shipboard/shipyard environment.
