experienced Audio Visual (AV) Technician to support AV installations, maintenance, and system commissioning across the
Northeast region - including
CT, MA, RI, NY, and the greater New England area.
This is a
true travel job. You'll be on the road frequently, and
all travel costs are covered - flights, lodging, transportation, and daily travel needs.
About the RoleIn this role, you'll handle hands-on AV installation work, support commissioning, perform system wiring/termination, and assist with site surveys. You'll work closely with Project Managers and act as an on-site point of contact for customers during installations.
Responsibilities- Travel to job sites throughout the Northeast (CT/MA/RI/NY) to support AV installations.
- Review SOWs, technical drawings, diagrams, and construction documents.
- Install, terminate, and configure AV systems (speakers, displays, racks, wall plates, DSPs, control systems, etc.).
- Assist with audio/video system commissioning and functional testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV issues on-site.
- Handle equipment staging, cable pulls, materials management, and installation logistics.
- Conduct site surveys and site readiness assessments.
- Communicate daily status updates to the Project Manager.
- Interact professionally with customers regarding system progress and functionality.
- Update redlines, documentation, and as-built notes.
- Travel up to 100%, including domestic and occasional international trips.
Requirements- Strong hands-on experience with AV installation and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of AV signal flow, wiring practices, and low-voltage standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities independently.
- Professional appearance and behavior.
- Comfortable with extensive travel across the Northeast.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Active passport or ability to get one.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
