Network Engineer - Contract- Salt Lake, UT - $40.19-$40.19hr.

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer in Salt Lake, UT.
Responsibilities
Environmental ownership for perimeter works, including B2B, internet DMZ, Cloud and trading/market exchange connectivity.
Provide subject matter expertise when collaborating on cross platform projects with teams responsible for Global markets, Collaboration, Market Data, compute, Storage, Information Security and Data Center
Introduction, communication and development of strategic networking technologies to provide additional scalability and functionality
Take an active role in the product lifecycle, new technology introduction through to demise
Engineering new solutions for internal clients to address business requirements
Owning the delivery of a variety of concurrent projects in varying scale from small to very large
Provide technical escalation for complex problems
Working with networking product vendors and telecoms service provider with regards to all of the above
The skills required to be successful in this role
Extensive technical experience in engineering and implementing networking technologies within a large enterprise, preferably with some exposure to the financial sector
In Depth knowledge of perimeter networks, external connectivity, security standards, cloud connectivity, data center design principles, products and protocols
Good appreciation of Network Security Architectures, models and methodologies, Authentication schemes, Encryption techniques and standards
Design and product experience with firewalls - Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet
In Depths knowledge of WAN/LAN topologies and protocols, networking technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, PIM, MPLS)
Extensive technical experience using many of the following: Cisco Routers, Switches, Nexus, ASR, ISR, NCS, product lines Layer4-7 switching/High availability (Citrix NetScaler preferred), Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR, Juniper JunOS, Fortinet FortiOS
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
Extensive experience with management, internetworking design and implementation of networks
Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Good project management skills(large network deployments and cross-discipline project deliverables)
Solid experience managing, configuring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure and OCI)
Desirable - experience of application performance optimization and troubleshooting through packet level analysis
Desirable - software scripting and development experience e.g. automation & accessing web based services via API and using GILAB and Terraform (Infra as code) for cloud deployments
