Job Description


We are seeking a Product Owner to join our dynamic team supporting Deloitte. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in product ownership within financial services, client onboarding, or customer relationship systems and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver business value, manage prioritized backlogs, and align execution to product strategy.


Responsibilities:



  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, define requirements and success criteria, and align roadmap with stakeholder needs.

  • Track and manage progress against timelines and milestones, ensuring delivery against scope and quality goals.

  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues impacting delivery and value realization.

  • Communicate status, decisions, and changes to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and regular cadence.

  • Ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices across the product team.

  • Lead, coach, and support a matrixed, multidisciplinary team to drive outcomes and continuous improvement.

  • Manage system plans and artifacts, dependencies, and stakeholder requirements to maintain cohesive delivery.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, MIS, computer science, or related field.

  • 6-9 years of advanced experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, preferably in financial services.

  • Broad and deep knowledge of client onboarding or customer/contact relationship systems and processes.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proven analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability amid ambiguity.

  • Leadership experience in matrixed teams, including task assignment, coaching, and mentoring.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and a robust understanding of the full software development lifecycle.


Preferred Skills:



  • Advanced understanding of Product Management and Design Thinking with ability to scale practices across teams.

  • Experience with digital product ownership in high-performing, cross-functional teams.

  • Background in building business cases and measuring delivery against defined success criteria.

  • Experience managing dependencies, resource needs, and advising adjacent product teams for cohesive delivery.

Additional Details



  • Work must be performed within the United States. No offshore work permitted.

  • Project stage: Sold/Funded.

  • Expenses are not permitted. Travel costs are not reimbursable.

  • Hybrid onsite requirement: two in-office days per week at local Deloitte office.

  • Vendor submissions limited to 12 per supplier. Candidates with sub vendors cannot be considered.

  • Hours per day: 8. Labor Type: Business Professional. Available openings: 3.

  • Client flow-down terms apply. Refer to attached documents for details, including background check verification form.

  • Attached subcontractor verification form required upon completion.
