Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex manufacturing and healthcare technology projects involving Siemens devices and automation systems.
The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and successful delivery of projects across manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on medical devices, industrial automation, equipment integration, manufacturing processes, and technology implementation.
This role requires a strong understanding of the intersection between manufacturing operations, automation equipment, software systems, engineering, and healthcare/medical device environments. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate specialized engineering, software, manufacturing, and client teams while managing project scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and delivery.
The position involves close collaboration with engineering, product, manufacturing, and delivery teams across multiple geographies, as well as client-facing and operational stakeholders.

This role is ideal for a senior Technical Project Manager with a strong manufacturing and automation background, particularly someone who has managed projects involving Siemens devices, industrial automation, medical device manufacturing, or regulated healthcare/life sciences environments.
The ideal candidate combines strong project delivery skills with enough technical depth to understand manufacturing equipment, Siemens automation, controls, software integration, and production processes, enabling them to effectively lead engineering and business teams through complex implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Own the full project lifecycle from requirements and planning through implementation, commissioning, validation, go-live, and post-production support.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, issue logs, and status reporting.
- Manage multiple workstreams involving manufacturing equipment, Siemens devices, automation, software, systems integration, and operational processes.
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for on-time, on-scope, and on-budget project delivery.
- Identify project risks, dependencies, and critical path activities and drive timely resolution.
Manufacturing & Siemens Device Oversight
- Develop a strong working understanding of the manufacturing environment and the Siemens equipment/devices being implemented or integrated.
- Coordinate activities involving Siemens automation, control systems, industrial equipment, PLCs, HMIs, and related manufacturing technologies.
- Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure equipment configuration, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities remain aligned with project requirements.
- Understand manufacturing processes, production workflows, equipment dependencies, throughput requirements, and operational constraints.
- Identify cross-functional dependencies between equipment, controls, software, infrastructure, manufacturing processes, and business operations.
- Ensure technical decisions support reliability, scalability, production efficiency, quality, and operational requirements.
Requirements, Design & Systems Integration
- Lead requirements gathering and translate business and manufacturing requirements into actionable technical and project deliverables.
- Coordinate technical design activities across engineering, automation, software, infrastructure, and manufacturing teams.
- Support integration of Siemens devices and manufacturing systems with enterprise applications and other production technologies.
- Coordinate interface requirements, data flows, system dependencies, and integration testing.
- Review technical designs and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with project objectives, manufacturing requirements, and operational realities.
- Identify gaps, assumptions, and technical risks early in the project lifecycle.
Healthcare & Medical Device Environment
- Manage projects within healthcare, medical device, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Ensure project activities consider applicable quality, validation, compliance, documentation, and change-control requirements.
- Coordinate with quality, validation, manufacturing, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders.
- Support implementation activities requiring structured testing, validation, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Understand the importance of traceability, quality controls, and controlled changes within regulated manufacturing environments.
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the central coordination point between engineering, manufacturing, automation, software, IT, quality, operations, vendors, and client stakeholders.
- Manage communication and alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal engineering teams, external vendors, equipment suppliers, contractors, and client resources.
- Communicate technical issues, project risks, decisions, and dependencies clearly to both technical and executive audiences.
- Drive accountability across distributed teams without direct authority.
Installation, Commissioning & Go-Live
- Oversee equipment installation, configuration, system integration, testing, commissioning, and production readiness activities.
- Coordinate factory/site acceptance testing and other project validation activities as applicable.
- Ensure project documentation, training, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer are completed.
- Coordinate cutover and go-live activities while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Drive post-go-live stabilization, issue resolution, and transition to operational support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of technical project management experience, preferably within manufacturing, healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, industrial automation, or regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex manufacturing technology, automation, equipment integration, or systems implementation projects.
- Experience working with Siemens devices, automation systems, PLCs, HMIs, or Siemens industrial technologies.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production environments, equipment integration, and industrial automation.
- Experience coordinating engineering, software, manufacturing, IT, quality, and operations teams.
- Strong understanding of systems integration, interfaces, data flows, and dependencies between manufacturing equipment and enterprise systems.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, equipment suppliers, and third-party technology partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing/client sites as required for assessments, installation, commissioning, testing, and go-live activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in medical device manufacturing, healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on familiarity with Siemens PLCs, Siemens S7/TIA Portal, HMI/SCADA, or Siemens automation technologies.
- Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES/MOM) and integration with shop-floor automation.
- Experience with industrial controls, robotics, material handling, production lines, or automated manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with validation, qualification, quality systems, or regulated change-control processes.
- Experience managing multi-site manufacturing technology implementations.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Engineering or technical background in manufacturing, automation, controls, electrical, mechanical, or industrial systems.
