Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Planner Scheduler Nuclear Level 2 to support maintenance and outage scheduling activities at the Duane Arnold nuclear facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, publishing, and monitoring detailed project and maintenance schedules using Primavera P6, while coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure efficient resource utilization and equipment availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze daily and long-term maintenance schedules using Primavera P6
  • Prepare and publish schedules for refueling outages and routine maintenance activities
  • Monitor schedule progress and recommend adjustments to optimize manpower and equipment usage
  • Perform trend analysis and root cause analysis for schedule deviations
  • Maintain scheduling metrics, reports, and performance statistics
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, maintenance staff, and external vendors
  • Support work management processes and ensure alignment with plant priorities
  • Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Provide scheduling support for critical path planning during outages
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear site procedures and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • 6 10 years of technical experience in a nuclear facility within:
    • Engineering
    • Maintenance
    • Operations
  • Strong experience with:
    • Primavera P6 scheduling
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Work management systems
  • Critical path scheduling
  • Ability to independently manage scheduling and maintenance planning activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate s degree in Engineering or related physical science
  • Maintenance Trade apprenticeship completion preferred
  • Prior experience supporting nuclear outage planning
  • Military experience in a related technical field may be considered equivalent
