IT Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Kforce client in San Francisco, CA is seeking an IT Engineer.

Summary:
The client is looking for an IT Engineer to take ownership of defined workstreams and support day-to-day IT system's needs. The Engineer would be jumping into an existing environment, stabilizing active work and documenting what they do.

Primary Focus Areas:
* Okta administration and identity/access management support
* SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, MFA, groups, policies, and SaaS app provisioning
* Support for Okta Verify/MFA migration work and related vendor sunset activities
* HRIS-to-Okta lifecycle/provisioning support, ideally with Rippling experience
* AI and productivity tool administration (SSO integration, provisioning, license and access management for tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Console, Cursor, etc.)
* Endpoint/device management support, including MDM-related migration or administration work
* SaaS application administration, troubleshooting, and access escalations
* Documentation, handoff materials, and operational runbooks
* General project support across active Corporate IT initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of IT systems engineering, Corporate IT, IAM, or SaaS systems administration experience
* 5+ years of hands-on Okta administration experience in a production environment
* Strong understanding of SSO, SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, MFA, and identity lifecycle workflows
* Experience supporting SaaS app provisioning, access troubleshooting, and user lifecycle processes
* Experience with MDM or endpoint management platforms such as Jamf, Intune, Iru, or similar
* Ability to ramp quickly, work independently, and operate in a fast-moving environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Familiarity with access audits and least-privilege principles
* Comfort administering or onboarding AI-powered SaaS tools within an existing IAM/MDM framework

Nice to Have:
* Rippling-to-Okta or HRIS-driven provisioning experience
* Experience with Okta Verify migrations or third-party MFA retirements
* Jamf migration or endpoint compliance experience
* Jira, Jira Service Management, Rootly, PagerDuty, or similar operational tooling experience
* Scripting and API automation (Python, Bash, or similar)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
