Job Description
We are seeking an ITQ Technologist - Cereal, 2nd Shift to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in equipment setup and sanitation, pilot-plant operations, and food safety leadership and a proven ability to independently run trials, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver safe, efficient operations.
Role Details:
Schedule: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday-Friday; occasional weekends. May flex to different shifts or hours with advance notice. May require up to 4 hours of overtime before or after shift and occasional 8-12 hour weekend support.
Max Pay Rate: $21/hr
Responsibilities:
- Autonomously set up, sanitize, and operate equipment for trials with a primary focus on the Cereal platform.
- Provide customer service and operational support across multiple ITQ platforms as a flex resource.
- Lead equipment sanitation activities and perform post-sanitation inspections.
- Operate safely, meet food safety requirements, and conduct risk assessments.
- Guide teams to identify and resolve human and food safety risks.
- Maintain and expand proficiency across multiple unit operations and systems; teach and train others where mastery exists.
- Support maintenance, electrical, and controls activities with a technical focus.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of sanitation experience in a processing environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport up to 55 lbs repeatedly.
- Comfort operating autonomously in pilot plant or plant environments.
- Technical and mechanical problem-solving ability; basic computer skills (Office Suite and related programs).
- Strong understanding of food and human safety; capability to perform risk assessments.
- Team collaboration, communication, and ability to coach, train, and develop others.
- Critical thinking, conflict resolution, and ability to influence within a team setting.
- Adaptability to dynamic priorities and effective time management across competing tasks.
- Self-starter mindset with ownership of work quality and business impact.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in similar processing, pilot plant, or manufacturing roles.
- Foodservice or laboratory experience.
- Interest in food creation, CPG industry practices, and consumer trends in food and packaging.
