Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer with strong expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and HR Service Delivery (HRSD). The ideal candidate will design, develop, implement, and support enterprise workflows on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient solutions for IT and HR operations. This role requires deep platform knowledge, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Development
- Design and develop solutions across the ServiceNow platform, focusing on ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB) and HRSD modules (Employee Center, Case Management, Lifecycle Events).
- Build and customize:
- Catalog items
- Workflows
- UI Policies
- Client Scripts
- Business Rules
- Flow Designer automations
- Develop custom ServiceNow applications and integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
HRSD & ITSM Implementation
- Configure and enhance HR Case Management, HR Portal, HR Knowledge, and employee service experiences.
- Implement lifecycle event automation (onboarding, transitions).
- Support HR operations teams by optimizing case flows, SLAs, security roles, and service catalogs.
- Enhance ITSM processes and ensure alignment with ITIL best practices.
Platform Administration & Support
- Maintain platform stability, security, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex ServiceNow issues across ITSM and HRSD.
- Manage platform upgrades, clone schedules, and instance strategy.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Integrations & Automation
- Integrate ServiceNow with external systems (HRIS, ERP, Identity platforms, monitoring tools).
- Implement automations using Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and scripting solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance across IT and HR functions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with IT, HR, Security, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and analysts.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to backlog planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong hands‑on experience with ITSM and HRSD modules.
- Proficient in:
- JavaScript
- Glide API
- Flow Designer
- ServiceNow Studio
- Integration Hub
- Experience working with HR Case Management, Employee Center, and lifecycle events.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations (REST, SOAP, OAuth, MID Server).
- ServiceNow certifications such as:
- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ITSM or HRSD Micro‑Certifications
