Software Engineer II (Frontier)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Birmingham, AL that is seeking a Software Engineer II with strong C#/.NET development experience to support and enhance established applications. The environment includes a significant number of legacy applications built with ASP.NET Web Forms, so experience working with older .NET technologies is highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot applications using C# and .NET
* Work within an established application environment that includes legacy ASP.NET Web Forms applications
* Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, update, and manage application data
* Create and modify database tables and fields as needed; Full database administration experience is not required
* Develop and maintain APIs as needed
* Collaborate with technical and business teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver application enhancements
* Support modernization and ongoing improvement of existing applications

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong C# and .NET development experience
* Strong SQL querying skills, including the ability to create tables and update fields
* Experience working with established/legacy applications and codebases
* Ability to troubleshoot, enhance, and maintain existing applications

Preferred Qualifications:
* A banking or financial services background is helpful but not required
* ASP.NET Web Forms experience
* Experience building APIs
* ARGO data experience is a significant bonus
* Banking or financial-services industry experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
