Job Title: Quality Engineer (3 rd Shift)

Location: Davenport, IA

Duration: Contract 1 + Years

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer with strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite and hands-on shop floor experience. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team-based environment and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and product quality. Metatarsal safety protection is required for this role due to significant time spent on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria and identify quality concerns.
  • Investigate unit quality issues related to products and processes; gather and analyze data, resolve/facilitate resolution, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide work direction to inspectors on containment, quality procedures, and tools to monitor critical processes.
  • Facilitate quality-related discussions with internal and external customers to drive corrective action.
  • Generate monthly quality reports to monitor metrics and participate in management reviews.
  • Identify and support Continuous Improvement (CI) projects.
  • Spend 50-75% of time on the shop floor ensuring quality standards are met.


Qualifications

Required:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Shop floor experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to wear and maintain metatarsal safety protection.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering.
  • Equivalent work experience in quality engineering or manufacturing will be considered.
