Position: Quality Assurance (UAT + Qtest) Location: Columbus, OH (5 days Onsite) Duration: 6 months contract with a high possibility of extension Job ID: 181033 Job Overview: The candidate will be responsible for performing Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure application quality and alignment with business requirements. The role requires hands-on experience in documenting UAT test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts using qTest. The candidate should have strong analytical, defect management, and test execution skills, along with an understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Responsibilities: - Perform Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of business applications.
- Create, document, and maintain UAT test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts directly in qTest.
- Use qTest to organize test cycles, execute test cases, record Pass/Fail results, and track defects.
- Translate business requirements into detailed UAT test scenarios and test cases.
- Prepare and manage test data required for testing activities.
- Perform parallel testing to validate new system results against existing systems.
- Identify, document, analyze, and track defects, coordinating with development and operations teams for timely resolution.
- Prepare and deliver periodic testing status reports, including test execution results and defect metrics.
- Maintain and update testing documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, QA teams, and technical teams to ensure successful testing and delivery.
Qualifications: - Previous experience in a QA, UAT Testing, or Technical Support environment.
- Hands-on experience with qTest, particularly test case creation, test execution, test cycle management, and defect tracking.
- Strong experience documenting UAT test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive test scenarios.
- Experience with Functional Testing, Regression Testing, and UAT.
- Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and defect analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple testing activities.
- Experience with test automation tools and technologies such as Java, Selenium, and UDF is a plus.
- Knowledge of data profiling, data quality validation, and test data management is preferred.
