Role Summary
Account Manager (Consultant) serves as the primary day-to-day client partner and internal lead for creative development work, functioning at the level of an external agency Account Supervisor. This role partners closely with Consumer Engagement & Brand, COEs (Centers of Excellence) and cross-functional teams to move work from initial request for estimate/timing through final delivery—ensuring approved scopes of work, clear briefs, tight communication, strong collaboration, and on-time, on-strategic project output across multiple channels (Ex. email, PPT presentations, video, collateral, graphics, and other creative assets).
Key Responsibilities
Client Partnership & Account Leadership
- Serve as the day-to-day client contact for assigned workstreams, building trusted relationships and enabling productive collaboration.
- Lead client conversations to uncover business needs, objectives, audience considerations, success metrics, and key inputs.
- Manage client feedback and revisions, translating input into clear direction for internal teams while protecting scope, strategy, and timelines.
- Set and manage expectations on timing, deliverables, dependencies, and approvals; proactively flag risks and provide options.
Creative Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Creative, Motion, Design, Copy, Project Management, and Operations to deliver high-quality work across formats including:
- Email and digital communications
- PPT presentations (executive-ready storytelling and design)
- Video and motion assets
- Print/digital collateral, sales support materials, and graphics
- Ensure briefs are clear and complete (objective, audience, mandatories, tone, deliverables, timelines, approvers, and required inputs).
- Facilitate client reviews, consolidate feedback for internal reviews, and drive clear next steps to keep work moving.
- Act as an advocate for both client needs and quality standards; help teams deliver smart, effective creative solutions.
Workflow, Scope & Delivery Management
- Own collaboration with internal team on project estimate/SOW and timeline through scope approval—confirm requirements, align on deliverables, and coordinate schedules in partnership with Project Management.
- Maintain visibility into status across deliverables; ensure milestones and approvals are met.
- Identify out-of-scope requests and partner with appropriate leads to reset expectations or initiate scope updates.
- Ensure deliverables meet brand/quality standards and are packaged appropriately for final handoff.
Required Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of account management experience in a creative agency or in-house agency environment (Senior Account Manager/Account Supervisor level).
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-channel creative development (email, presentations, video/motion, collateral, digital/print assets).
- Strong client management skills: briefing, expectation-setting, presenting work, handling feedback, and guiding revisions.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with creative, motion, project management, and operations.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to translate business needs into actionable creative direction.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a regulated or highly matrixed organization.
- Familiarity with creative workflows and production processes (review cycles, routing, versioning, legal/compliance considerations where applicable).
- Ability to read performance or business insights and translate them into stronger creative direction.
- Proficiency with common workflow tools (e.g., Workfront) and experience with Generative AI (e.g. OpenAI)
