Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role Purpose
Engineer and operate cloud infrastructure primarily in Microsoft Azure, while supporting a broader hybrid environment that includes Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The two-person team must collectively provide strong Azure operational coverage and demonstrable OCI capability. Candidates must be able to automate, troubleshoot, govern, and support cloud-hosted workloads across identity, networking, compute, storage, endpoint, and operational services.
Key Responsibilities
• Provision, configure, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Azure IaaS and PaaS services within defined governance and change controls.
• Administer Azure identity, access, endpoint-management, cloud networking, and resource-governance functions within approved role boundaries.
• Author, maintain, test, and troubleshoot Terraform infrastructure-as-code and associated automation.
• Support Windows and Linux workloads hosted in cloud environments, including networking, identity, patching, and service availability dependencies.
• Support Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Arc, Azure Update Manager, network virtual appliances, and similar operational services as applicable.
• Provide at least one team member with hands-on OCI operations across core services, identity/access, networking, compute, storage, and day-to-day support.
• Troubleshoot cross-cloud and hybrid connectivity, SSO/federation, segmentation, VPN, private connectivity, and related dependencies.
• Maintain operational documentation, implementation records, standard runbooks, and technical evidence for incidents and changes.
Preferred Technical Skills
The following are not absolute gating criteria unless specifically called out during candidate review. They materially strengthen the candidate’s fit and should be highlighted in the recruiter submission.
• Azure certification such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-700, AZ-500, or equivalent current cloud certifications.
• OCI certification or recent demonstrable OCI operational experience, especially for the candidate designated to cover OCI.
• Azure-to-OCI integration, private connectivity, shared identity, multicloud routing, or workload-mobility experience.
