About the Role

Join Raytheon's Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) organization, where innovation meets mission-critical execution. As a Test Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in defining and integrating test environments that ensure the performance, reliability, and readiness of Raytheon's advanced defense systems.

This role is ideal for a systems thinker-someone who sees the big picture and understands how every component, process, and test contributes to the success of the mission. You'll collaborate across engineering disciplines to design and document test capabilities that span the entire product lifecycle-from development and production to user operations and sustainment.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the definition and documentation of test environment requirements and capabilities.
  • Coordinate across engineering teams to ensure test systems align with product design and lifecycle needs.
  • Apply systems engineering principles to test planning, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Design and support test setups, embedded test protocols, and factory transition strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks related to test system design and implementation.
  • Drive affordability through built-in-test strategies and lifecycle cost optimization.
  • Engage with Department of Defense (DoD) customers and internal stakeholders to align on test strategies and capital investment needs.


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and at least 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master's degree in lieu of experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering for test environments, including test requirements development, test planning, and integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply a systems engineering approach across the product lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with embedded functional test, test methodologies, and verification/validation processes.
  • Active and transferable U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with test bed design, hardware integration, and simulation environments.
  • Understanding of warfighter operations and embedded test strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with cost analysis and capital planning for test infrastructure.
