Technical Business Analyst

Location: 100% Remote - Columbus, Ohio

Length: 12+ months contract to hire

Payrate range: $60-$65/hr.

Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

Ability to use business analysis techniques and tools for use case modeling, data modeling, process mapping and testing.

Demonstrated ability to learn new domains by collaborating with business and technical teams

Able to understand and apply technology solutions by translating business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models, and basic system configuration.

Responsible for business unit relationships and overseeing, managing and leveraging the entire life cycle of information technology investments in systems for a department.

Able to use multiple techniques for requirements elicitation and document creation, establishes business capabilities, and ensures asset organization and refinement.

Lead or participate in process redesign and support activities, including using tools, responding to user questions, problem diagnosis, recognition and solutions for process improvements, research, troubleshooting, tracking and resolution.

Research best practices to develop innovative solutions for complex process improvement efforts or business needs.

Develops and implements business analysis standards and ensures compliance with standards.

Creates and communicates capabilities and scope plans to all levels of business technical staff.

Provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business or related field of study with 7 years of work experience OR Associate's degree in computer science with 9 years of relevant work experience OR High school diploma/GED with 11 years of relevant work experience

Working knowledge of project methodologies like waterfall and Agile Scrum.

Experience:

Ability to effectively translate functional and non-functional requirements to technology teams.

Data exploration and analysis skills (i.e. SQL)

Strong experience in facilitating value stream mapping sessions to analyze current state, gather requirements for future state and gap analysis.

Experience in analyzing requirements for business transformation projects.

3- 5 years business analyst experience in Maximo and/or utility experience
