Summary

Job Description:

We are looking for experienced .NET Core Developers to support the modernization and transformation of custom applications used by the South Carolina Justice Agency. The project involves migrating legacy applications to modern .NET Core technologies, designing and optimizing SQL databases, and supporting integrations and enhancements across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Migrate legacy applications and frameworks to .NET Core.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable application components.

  • Design, optimize, and maintain SQL databases, queries, and stored procedures.

  • Analyze existing systems and support application modernization initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain integrations with external agency APIs and enterprise systems.

  • Support data migration and application integration activities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile, sprint-based environment.

  • Follow security best practices, including identity management, MFA, logging, and CJIS-aligned controls.

  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and support ongoing enhancements.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with .NET Core / modern .NET development.

  • Experience migrating legacy applications to .NET Core.

  • Strong SQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning skills.

  • Experience with REST APIs and application integrations.

  • Understanding of secure application development practices.

  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government or justice-sector applications.

  • Familiarity with CJIS-compliant systems and security requirements.

  • Experience with Azure services, data migration, and enterprise application modernization.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
