The Lead, Cybersecurity Advocacy role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of cybersecurity education and training to EIP personnel and Humana's enterprise staff. The role works with relevant EIP and Humana enterprise stakeholders to develop, plan, coordinate, and evaluate cybersecurity training/education courses, methods, and techniques. The Lead, Cybersecurity Advocacy works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Lead, Cybersecurity Advocacy role leads cyber training and awareness programs and curriculum development. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining in-person and online education and training infrastructure. The Cybersecurity Advocate acquires and manages the necessary resources, including leadership support, financial resources, and subject matter experts oriented to target audiences, to support EIP security goals and objectives and reduce overall organizational cybersecurity risk through human-risk informed training and educational programs. The role is responsible for producing technical documentation, presentations, and documents to reinforce cybersecurity-related knowledge across Humana. The role may leverage Instructional System Design (ISD) methodologies in the development of content curriculums. The individual in this role is responsible for serving as an advocate for cybersecurity-related issues as relates to the reduction of cyber risk at the human level (i.e., Humana personnel), and as such works to promote awareness of cybersecurity issues across EIP and Humana management. The Cybersecurity Advocate develops human cyber risk reduction learning content, privacy training materials, and other communications to increase employee understanding of

cybersecurity risks. The individual in this role works with the Cybersecurity Strategic Advancement role and other relevant EIP leaders to ensure cybersecurity principles are reflected in Humana's corporate vision and goals. The role conducts learning needs assessments and identify requirements and plans instructional opportunities, such as lectures, demonstrations, interactive exercises, multimedia presentations, video courses, web-based courses. The role is responsible for conducting periodic reviews and revisions of course content for accuracy, completeness alignment, and currency.

The Lead, Cybersecurity Advocacy role focuses on designing, developing, and distributing targeted cybersecurity trainings to support new/updates to products and applications at Humana. This role is responsible for supporting training of new tools and applications, to ensure cyber-awareness and proper usage of new applications and products.

The Lead, CyberSecurity Advocacy works with relevant EIP and Humana enterprise stakeholders to develop, plan, coordinate, and evaluate CyberSecurity training/education courses, methods, and techniques. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant information technology field (Information Technology, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, etc.)

8+ years of technical experience and 2+ years of project leadership experience

2+ years with Technical cybersecurity experience, with emphasis on cybersecurity training, education, and risk management

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

Professional Cybersecurity Certifications desired (i.e., CISSP)
  • 2+ years experience with Cyber Security training/education/presentation
  • 2+ years experience in risk management

Remote/WAH requirements:
  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$106,900 - $147,000 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
