Entry-Level Business Systems Analyst

Job Description

• Gather information from business teams to understand their daily tasks and reporting needs.

• Help document business requirements and existing work processes.

• Use basic SQL queries to review data and identify errors or mismatches.

• Assist with comparing data between old and new systems during system upgrades or migrations.

• Prepare simple reports, process documents, and user guides.

• Support software testing by following test steps, recording issues, and checking fixes.

• Track project tasks, meeting notes, and deadlines.

• Help users resolve basic system and reporting issues.

• Maintain project documents and update issue-tracking records.

• Assist business users with testing new systems before they are launched.

Skills and Tools 

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Basic SQL knowledge for reviewing and comparing data.

• Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to document requirements and follow established processes.

• Familiarity with Jira, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, or similar tools is a plus.

• Basic understanding of software testing and system implementation.
