Knoxville, TN | Banner Database Administrator | Full-time (Contract-to-Hire)

We are actively recruiting a Banner Database Administrator for our client in Knoxville, TN. This is a 6 month contract with strong potential for conversion and is open to remote candidates. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional to own and support an enterprise Student Information System (SIS) in a higher education environment. Direct Banner or higher education SIS experience is required.

Due to client request, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Role Summary

This role serves as the primary technical resource responsible for the administration, stability, and upgrade management of an enterprise Ellucian Banner Student Information System and its supporting Oracle database environments. The position focuses on application operations and lifecycle management, not general infrastructure support.

Preferred Qualifications

Oracle DBA or cloud-related certifications
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Linux administration experience
Familiarity with middleware or data warehouse environments
