IT Project Manager

job summary:

We are seeking a high-ownership, hybrid IT Project Manager II to lead the cross-functional delivery of critical technology initiatives. In this role, you will align IT practices with strategic business needs, coordinating internal technical/product teams and an external implementation partner.

You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of two major workstreams: Price Margin Optimization and AI for Customer Service. Operating across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, you will facilitate project scoping, resource planning, and risk management while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and incremental delivery.

responsibilities:

1. Project Management & Delivery Governance

• Lifecycle Management: Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, milestones, and resource requirements from concept through successful implementation.
• Agile/Waterfall Execution: Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to guide the project lifecycle, utilizing Agile methodologies to drive incremental value.
• Stakeholder Visibility: Create transparent reporting, dashboards, and visibility into project progress, managing cross-team dependencies, bottlenecks, and delivery risks.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with technical and product teams to prioritize, scope, and deliver complex, data-heavy IT projects.

2. Price Margin Optimization (Core Workstream)

• Process Optimization: Guide internal teams and our external vendor through process mapping (current state, future state, and system changes) for two key areas: Promotions and Price Management .
• Change Management: Drive the change management strategies required to successfully bring new pricing processes and system changes to life.
• Data Foundations & Analytics: Oversee the discovery and execution of core pricing data foundations-managing the ingestion, cleaning, and transformation of data to build interactive, AI-enabled analytics tools.

3. AI for Customer Service (Support Workstream)

• Lightweight PM/SM Support: Coordinate internal teams and the external vendor to adapt the established data foundations for customer service-specific data needs.
• Pilot Execution: Help build robust delivery processes that empower internal teams to own, track, and successfully execute active AI customer service pilots and use cases.

qualifications:

Experience: 4-7 years of IT project management experience (Level 2), with a proven track record of managing cross-functional delivery and external implementation partners.

Pricing & Data Domain Expertise: Strong background managing projects involving pricing systems, margin optimization, or promotions.

Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of data pipelines (ingestion and cleaning) and AI/analytics frameworks.

Methodology Flex: Deep familiarity with Agile/Scrum principles (acting as a Scrum Master where needed) alongside the ability to manage Waterfall constraints.
