Position OverviewWe are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support for end users across the organization. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of hardware, software, network, and systems-related issues while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who can effectively support users in a fast-paced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level technical support for end users via phone, email, remote tools, and in-person assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Active Directory (AD) account issues, including password resets, account unlocks, and user access requests.
- Diagnose and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware problems.
- Support and troubleshoot software installations, updates, and application-related issues.
- Respond to network connectivity concerns and assist with identifying and escalating switch, router, or infrastructure outages.
- Configure, deploy, and support mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets.
- Install, image, and maintain computer systems and related IT equipment.
- Create, update, and track support tickets within the ticketing system to ensure timely resolution and accurate documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or specialized support teams as needed.
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding activities, including account setup, access provisioning, and equipment deployment.
- Maintain inventory records for hardware, software, and IT assets.
- Provide technical guidance and training to end users on standard IT tools and best practices.
- Support general IT operations and perform additional technical support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Experience supporting Windows-based desktop and laptop environments.
- Working knowledge of Active Directory administration and user account management.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP, connectivity troubleshooting, and network devices.
- Experience supporting mobile devices and mobile operating systems.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple support requests and work effectively in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience supporting Apple macOS environments is highly preferred.
- Exposure to AS/400 systems is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
