Description Senior Network EngineerOn-site | Austin, TX | 6 Month Contract
Our growing client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the construction of their new data center and two office buildings. The ideal applicant will have experience and exposure supporting network architecture for these projects, have the ability to work independently, and also serve as a mentor to the other Network Engineers on-site.
Responsibilities: Design and implement enterprise-level network solutions using Juniper technologies.
Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls to enhance network security.
Develop detailed documentation for network designs and solutions, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate effectively with a team of senior and entry-level engineers to complete projects and address evolving priorities.
Lead the design and deployment of core switches for laboratory environments.
Analyze and segment lab devices to ensure efficient and secure network operations.
Plan and execute site expansion projects, including network infrastructure design.
Manage AWS networking tasks, including Direct Connect integration, and contribute to the migration of systems to cloud environments.
Work closely with server and Wi-Fi teams to maintain seamless operational functionality.
Requirements Qualifications/Requirements: Extensive experience with Juniper networking technologies at an enterprise level.
Proficiency in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
Strong knowledge of Cisco routers, ASA, and networking protocols such as BGP.
Demonstrated ability to design and architect network solutions, including leading projects from conception to completion.
Familiarity with AWS networking environments and cloud migration strategies.
Excellent communication skills to articulate technical solutions to non-technical team members.
