Role Overview

The Workday Specialized Technical Consultant will serve as an individual contributor focused on advanced configuration, optimization, and technical troubleshooting across Workday Talent, Performance, and HCM modules. This role partners closely with HR Technology teams and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality Workday solutions, with a strong emphasis on configuration, data integrity, and system stability.

Key Responsibilities

Configure and enhance Workday Talent, Performance, and HCM modules in alignment with business requirements
Design and implement complex configuration changes while considering upstream and downstream impacts
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, recommending best-practice configuration approaches
Support QA and regression testing for new features and enhancements
Ensure all configuration changes follow established governance and technical standards
Assist with testing, deployment, and stabilization during Workday releases
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including configurations and support processes
Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and documentation to support team consistency

Required Qualifications

5–8+ years of Workday configuration and support experience, with strong expertise in Talent and Performance (including Skills functionality)
Proven ability to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot complex configurations
Strong understanding of HR processes, data models, and system dependencies
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exposure to additional modules such as Core HCM, Learning, or Reporting is preferred
